Lord, help me to see past the detours in my journey and the things I don't understand so I can follow Your leading without worry. Help me realize that detours are simply a part of the process of trusting Your Spirit's leading each day. I pray this prayer in the name of Jesus, my merciful Savior and Lord. Amen.

    Hey, check this out from Deuteronomy 8:3 - "He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD."

    That's what Jesus quoted as scripture to Satan as he tempted him to take care of himself and not depend on his Father. Even Christ had go through the experience of obedience to the point of suffering in order to be made perfect.
